I've just bought the OpenCL Programming Book and start to dive in the world of parallelism. In the world of multi-core processors and programmable graphic cards I have an uneasy feeling that my knowledge is becoming dated and that's not something that I feel comfortable with.

  1. OpenCL is a good choice - it is supported by both ATI and NVIDIA cards.

It seems to me that the hardest thing is the right parallel algorithm design & implementation, regardless of the technology one uses to do that.

Good luck with the learning :)

  2. I'm little bit concerned from reading all those negative reviews about ATI OpenCL driver implementation, but I hope that it will mature soon.
